Hi friends! Welcome!
At age 23, I left my job in big tech, broke up with my then boyfriend, and packed a bag to travel the world for the next two years of my life despite having always loved home and wanting to be a stay-put homemaker.
Simply Homemaker was originally created with a desire to connect with my friends and family during my journey of traveling around the U.S. and Europe for 8 months. I wanted to have a place to share pictures of my travels as well as the things I learn along the way!
However, after writing for 7 months, I realized that this is only the beginning. There are a lot more I would like to share!
I realized that there is not really a space for women who LOVE homemaking but also really enjoy working and making an impact in the world through their work. It’s even harder for women who love traveling and exploring the world. So I thought: why don’t I document my journey of making places a home everywhere I go? Writing the blog became a way of living for me, as I navigate following my dreams, becoming a better homemaker, and making food and friends a central part of my life.
